Do I have to open my pores
before I use the Sports Rub? Why do I have to use ice
afterward?
|
 |
Yes, you do. Opening the
pores allows the blood to come to the surface and the
oil to penetrate the tissue. The deep massage works
the oil into the tissue and muscle. The ice is necessary
to send the blood and oil deep into the tissue and muscle
for faster healing. This applies to using the Arthritis
Rub as well. Remember to shake all herbal liquids prior
to dispensing.

Can I take my herbal supplements

Yes,
unless otherwise directed. |

I’ve heard that cayenne
is good for a sore throat. Your Echinacea Deluxe has
cayenne in it. Can I take that for a sore throat?
|
 |
Yes, many have benefited
by using cayenne for a sore throat. The cayenne herb
is excellent for circulation and assists the body in
removing toxins or infections. You can buffer the hot
from the cayenne by putting your dose in one teaspoon
of tomato sauce or an ounce of tomato juice. You can
also eat some chilled fruit afterward. The enzymes in
these foods dull the hot taste of the cayenne. Peppermint
is also effective. Try it in mint form or brew some
peppermint tea. It is excellent for the digestion as
well.

Do
I use the Arthritis Rub on days that I don’t need it? |
 |
Common
sense is always a good gauge to use. I always say that
if you can get by without having to take something, then
do that. However, with arthritis I suggest using the Arthritis
Rub as often as possible. It will improve flexibility,
reduce swelling and inflammation and it is nontoxic. |

Can
I take my herbs with my other medications? |
 |
This
is tough to answer without knowing patient details. It
is best if you consult with a licensed medical physician
familiar with herbs or a naturopathic physician. I would
not be able to advise you based on the lack of scientific
research using pharmaceutical drugs and herbs together.
It is my understanding that mixing both therapies produces
poor results. It is usually recommended that using one
or the other therapy alone is best.
|
| |
|
 |
Why
should I use herbs instead of a pharmaceutical drug?
|
 |
It depends
on where you place value. If you want a quick fix and
be able to carry on with your life as usual, then you
probably value the drug route. If you want to address
the cause and not just the symptom of your problem,
then the natural therapy will serve you best. The natural
approach will require effort on your part, but it will
also make you more aware of your body and you will begin
to read what is healthy for you and what is not. In
the long run you will be less dependent on others for
your health, which can also translate into saving you
money.

How long does it take for
your Female Balance Formula to work? (This question
applies to the Female Fertile Formula and Female Maturity
Formula as well.)
|
 |
You
will notice significant results within three months. If
you plan to become pregnant, use the Infertility Formula
for three months prior to wanting to conceive. These are
usual results. You may experience results sooner. Please
use common sense and consult your licensed medical physician
prior to using natural therapies, especially if you are
already taking prescription drugs. |

How long do I leave the
Skin Poultice on?
|
 |
A
minimum of two hours. For best results, leave on overnight.
You can cover the poultice with a cotton cloth and secure
with tape. If you don’t have cotton, plastic wrap will
suffice. |

How
does water with chlorine affect the use of herbs?
|
 |
I suggest avoiding
chlorine as much as possible. You can use distilled
water with your herbs. Distilled water is mineral-free
and can carry herbal nutrients through the body more
efficiently.

|
 |
Can I put my herbal supplements
in juice?
|
 |
You can put your herbal
liquids (tinctures) or powered mixes in juice, water
or warm (not boiling) herbal tea. The best way to take
the herbal tinctures is to place your dose under the
tongue (sublingual) for the fastest absorption into
the blood stream.

 |
Can I warm the ear oil
in my microwave?
|
 |
No.
Never heat your herbal liquids or oils directly. You can
put a small dish of water in the microwave and warm it.
You can also warm a small amount of water on the stove.
Place your bottle of herbal oil in the dish of warm water
and let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes. You just want to warm
it. Check the temperature by placing a drop on the inside
of your wrist. Place your dose of ear oil in the ear and
cover with a cotton ball to keep the ear canal warm. |
