Our certified organic herbal formula (tincture or tea) are helpful for whooping cough, cold, flu, viruses and infections. Thyme offers antioxidant properties and chemical compounds that give thyme its antispasmodic, light sedative and expectorant qualities. It is excellent as calming coughing. Thyme is so beneficial that pharmaceutical companies used thyme in their medications and mouth wash.

NOTE: Do not use thyme in large doses; do not exceed recommended dose. Not for pregnant women or those with a thyroid condition.

Thyme has antiseptic-like qualities as well as being an effective germicide. Thyme will kill the whooping cough bacteria while making it easier to breath with its antispasmodic action. Herbalist have used thyme for hundreds of years for respiratory ailments.

One of the added benefits is that thyme can be soothing to the nerves and have a sedative action. Children suffering from coughs, croup and whooping cough when given thyme can breathe easier and be able to sleep. Young children usually prefer thyme tea and you can use with immune boosting herbs such as our Children's Echinacea or Immune Booster formulas. If using a tea, mix with a little honey. Herb teas are not as potent as tinctures and by volume the child would need to drink more tea when compared to a dose of tincture (instructions for doses by weight for children included). You can administer the herbs when the cough is problematic.

User Tip: A little organic (unfiltered) apple cider vinegar will help cut the phlegm from whooping cough or use our All-In-One formula.

Can use with our Relaxation formula and Immune Booster formulas.

Naturally aged and cold-pressed formulas.

Our tincture is naturally aged and cold-pressed concentrate.

Our formulas are naturally aged and cold pressed to preserve medicinal potency. Why use a natural aging process? Forced aging (forced extraction) creates heat and destroys the medicinal potency of the plant. You will use very little of our product compared to a forced extraction product.

We are committed to bring you premium grade, professional strength herbal products. Why do our products cost a little more? Many manufacturers will use imported herbs paying ten cents a pound. You get what you pay for. Herbs at ten cents a pound are covered with pesticides or worse. Our formulas are made with Certified Organic herbs grown to Tilth Standards. Herbs of this caliber are no less than $15.00 per pound. Try our formulas and you'll see what a premium grade, naturally aged herbal product can do. You can always expect quality herbal supplements at reasonable prices from Apothecary Herbs.
