ASPARTAME WARNING!!!

If You Drink Diet Soda - Read This!
If you are Diabetic, You definitely need to read this

Your diet sodas and foods contain an artificial sweetener called ASPARTAME. This ingredient has aliases: NutraSweet, Equal, and Spoonful.

Apparently over 51 million Americans are dieting on Aspartame and have been doing so for over 10 years. The irony of it is that Aspartame makes people crave fatty, sugary carbohydrates and promotes obesity. Diabetes and obesity have a high correlation. In the US diabetes is up 7%; that’s 16 million Americans or one in every five people have diabetes. The CDC reports that the sharpest rise was in people 30 to 39 years of age, and diabetes is now considered an epidemic. Aspartame is dangerous for diabetics because it keeps the blood sugar level out of control and can cause coma. Therefore, if you are diabetic, stay away from anything with Aspartame in it. That includes low fat foods – read the labels. Aspartame is in over 5000 foods and the list grows daily.

Aspartame is in these types of foods:

You can get a significant amount of methanol if you readily consume these products:

  • Cereal
  • Toothpaste
  • Yogurts
  • Puddings
  • Sodas
  • ice cream
  • breakfast drinks
  • snacks
  • sugar free gum
  • and most products that are sugar free, low fat etc.

Your Health Risks using Aspartame

There are over 90 documented health risks to using Aspartame. Here is a brief list of the most severe:

  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • coma (with significant exposure, especially if diabetic)
  • death (with less than 30 millimeters)
  • tumors
  • Other illnesses associated with Aspartame:
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Shooting pains, cramps
  • Numbness in extremities
  • Headaches
  • Joint pain
  • tinnitis
  • anxiety
  • heart attack symptoms
  • blindness, blurred vision
  • hearing loss
  • seizures, spasms
  • memory loss
  • brain malfunction (slurred speech, bizarre behavior)
  • insomnia
  • fatigue, dizziness
  • mood swings, depression
  • skin lesions
  • slurred speech

Who developed Aspartame?

Thirty years ago, Aspartame was a lab accident. A chemist for Monsanto was trying to find a cure for stomach ulcers. So, Aspartame- your sweetener- was intended to be a drug. It was also a chemical compound listed by the Pentagon as having qualifications for bio-chemical warfare.

Why is Aspartame life-threatening?

To understand the serious health risks of Aspartame, you need to know about its chemical compounds. Aspartame contains methanol (wood alcohol). You may recognize this as a solvent and it is an ingredient that holds things together. Methanol is known as a cumulative poison- a toxin that stays in the body.

The methanol puts a huge burden on your liver to metabolize it. The liver must produce an enzyme called P450. The drawback here is, when the P450 metabolizes the methanol, it turns it into formaldehyde. The formaldehyde is further metabolized into formic acid (a poison found in fire ants). The menthol toxicity mimics Multiple Sclerosis but really isn’t MS. People are being diagnosis and treated for MS in error. All they have to do is avoid Aspartame. According to the World Environmental Conference and Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Aspartame is responsible for a variety of diseases including MS and Alzheimer’s. Also, there seems to be a link between Aspartame and systemic lupus. A majority of these patients drink several cans of diet sodas daily.

Scientific Studies on Aspartame Didn’t Test Its True Use & How We Use It

All the scientific studies on Aspartame that were used to get it passed by the FDA were done in Aspartame’s dry form. Aspartame in dry form is stable. However, we don't use it in its dry form. We put it in beverages and foods. When Aspartame is put into a liquid like soda, tea or coffee it is broken down into methanol in the body within ten minutes. In food it takes a few hours. Aspartame likes to store fat in the cells centered around the hips and thighs. Aspartame is also dangerous for pregnant women. According to diabetic specialist Dr. H.J. Roberts, the methanol produces birth defects. Pediatric physician, Dr. Louis Elasas states that the Aspartame poison (phenylalanine) concentrates in the placenta causing mental retardation.

The CDC (Center for Disease) is aware of the reports on Aspartame and the National Soft drink Association has also received complaints. The FDA is aware of the "possible" connection between Aspartame and the adverse reactions. Medicine is not prepared to take an official stand to say Aspartame is the culprit mainly because there haven't been any safety studies done on Aspartame in liquid form to prove it hazardous. However, lab studies done on rats and Aspartame did produce tumors with high levels of Aspartame in them, but they were ruled non-cancerous. The FDA is concerned with only cancerous tumors (the FDA Delaney Clause). In the 1980's, the FDA's advisory board (composed of scientists) voted not to approve Aspartame, but they were overruled by their Commissioner (an administrator - not a scientist).
