    This is our Tilth Standard, organic, professional-strength Dandelion root formula, which is naturally aged and cold-pressed to protect the natural elements of the plant. Individuals need ot research herb products and natural therapies carefully and seek medical advice from a licensed physician before use.

    Dandelion is a hardy herbal plant that is grown in most climate zones all over the world and used by may cultures for a food and to promote health.  Often recognized for its green flat leaves and bright yellow flower it is grown commerically worldwide and organically grown within the United States. However, most Americans recognize dandelinn as a yard weed.

    Dandelion is known for its fleshy-colored, light brown roots often harvested in the fall after the flower has lost its bloom. This is when the nutrition returns to the root system and contains a hardy nutrition profile. This has made this plant so attractive to civilizatons for thousands of years and used in traditional medicine worldwide. Tha American settelers often would include Dandelion root in their salads and spring tonics to nutritionally refresh the body and flush away waste. Often dandelion root was encouraged to be used for digestive function. The signature taste of dandelion greems are slightly bitter but the root has a very mild and woodsy taste often used in teas and tinctures (extracts). 

    Our Dandelion root tincture is made with Tilth organic dried roots that are carefully powdered to avoid heat. We use only certified organic alcohol and we naturally age for 30-days and cold-press. Herbs are senstivie to heat. You can add Dandelion tincture to be used with other tinctures such as Ginseng, Milk Thistle and Willow bark. Dandelion root tincture  can be added to cold or room tempreature beverages but never add it to a hot beverage or soup.

    Note: Dandelion root is considered safe but some may develop a allergic reaction. If you are allergic to ragweed, marigold, chamomile, yarrow, daisies, chrysanthemums or iodine you may wish to avoid using dandelion. Dandelion my not interact well with certain medications. Avoid if taking diureticson. Discontinue use if stomach upset or heartburn occur. Avoid if you suffer from kidney, liver or gallbladder problems and seek medical advise first before using dandelion root.

    Drug Interactions: Dandelion root may not interact well if taking the following medications or OTC products: antacids, blood thinners, diuretics, lithium (or other bipolar drugs), Cipro and diabetic medications.

    Any use of dandelion is for limited use of 4 to 6 weeks and discontinue unless otherwise directed by a licensed medical physician. The FDA and the German E-Commission recognize dandelion root as safe to use.
