Living a toxin-free life is not only possible but also incredibly empowering.

Wellness Guides

In our modern world, our planet has become inundated with toxins, from the air we breathe to the food we eat and the products we use. These invisible invaders can wreak havoc on our bodies, affecting our health and well-being in profound ways. Living a toxin-free life is not only possible but also incredibly empowering. Understanding where these toxins come from is the first step towards reclaiming your health and vitality.

TOXIN OVERLOAD

The average person can be exposed to more than 700,000 toxic substances. The bioaccumulation of toxins in the human body is an underlying cause of most common diseases. Toxins can cause a chemical and a physical reaction. Science often refers to this as “toxicants.”

“Toxicants may exert actions that influence metabolism. Given that almost all humans harbor some level of toxins and further studies are warranted to determine their contribution to disease and their mechanism of action.” US National Library Of Medicine Center for Biotechnology, September 2017

EXAMPLES OF TOXINS

Here are just of few of the toxins our body can be exposed to and can accumulate:

  • Sundry items such as perfume
  • Cosmetics
  • Cleaning agents
  • Plastics
  • Prescription medications and anesthesia
  • Agricultural chemicals (pesticides, herbicides)
  • Man-made synthetics
  • Vaccines with pathogens, aluminum, and mercury
  • Genetically modified materials
  • Fluoride
  • Water and air pollution
  • Food preservatives and dyes

BODY SIGNALS

Our body can tolerate only so much of the various toxins and try to neutralize and eliminate them. The toxin overload can accumulate and affect our metabolic functions. The body will show short-term signs of toxin overload before chronic disease takes hold. Some examples of toxin overload are:

  • Brain fog (difficulty concentrating)
  • Fatigue
  • Hair loss
  • Brittle hair and nails
  • Bad breath
  • Skin issues (dermatitis)
  • Digestive issues
  • Trouble maintaining weight
  • Vision problems

ENZYME DAMAGE

Toxins in general poison us and cause bodily harm normally through enzymes. Enzymes are important for metabolic function and when enzymes are hindered the body struggles to heal itself and function normally. An example would be enzyme damage that prevents the body from making healthy blood. When blood is not healthy it struggles to carry nutrition and oxygen throughout the body and can accelerate the aging process. Other areas that suffer are the immune system and overall energy. When enzymes are not reinstated to normal levels our risk of chronic disease increases. Examples are:

  • Cancers
  • Pneumonia or other respiratory ailments
  • Parkinson’s diseases
  • Cardiovascular disease

Notice the list of toxic diseases affects the pulmonary, cardio, nervous, and cellular systems.  These are our major metabolic systems that are in distress or under attack from certain toxins. The liver plays a major role in detoxifying our body and is the organ that protects us from toxins. If there is toxin overload it may not be able to keep up. The liver produces enzymes called P450 and these enzymes attempt to neutralize toxins. Science calls it the “P450 system.”

“There are over 50 different kinds of p450 enzymes. What makes this system so important is that it is used in breaking up and detoxifying substances and chemicals we ingest, mostly in food, as well drugs.” Pharmacology Education Project

HERB CLEANSES

Over the years people have shied away from herbal cleanses. In my experience, it helps the body move out the toxins and pull them out of tissues to be eliminated by the bowel and urinary tract.  Toxins block the body’s ability to function normally and when cleanses are used we see benefits such as:

  • Inflammation reduction
  • pH levels balanced
  • Helps balance hormones and mood
  • Removes metabolic stress
  • Strengthens cardiovascular
  • Strengthens immunity
  • Reduces disease risk

Cleanses will pull out pharmaceutical residues, heavy metals, radioactive particles, pesticides, viruses, harmful bacteria, and other toxic chemicals.

CAREFUL CLEANSING

Cleansing the body of toxins and reviving our metabolic functions may seem daunting. With some research, anyone can learn how to cleanse in a way that will aid the body's functions. Opening up elimination channels of the bowel and urinary systems is normally the first step in cleansing. This way when you cleanse other organs the toxins will have a free flow out of the body and less chance to be reabsorbed. Below is a general guide on how to move through cleansing the whole body:

  1. Start with the bowel cleanse and it’s important to fully complete this cleanse.

2. Then move on to the urinary system and this can include cleansing both the kidney and bladder area.

3. Next is the liver and gall bladder. These organs work in tandem together to purge toxins while you sleep. Therefore, a liver and gall bladder cleanse can be done together. If you don’t have a gall bladder you can solely focus on the liver cleanse. If there’s no intention to remove Gallstones in your cleanse, use the Liver gallbladder tincture with the Liver Detox Tea.

4. The last cleanse is the blood cleanse to fully sweep any remaining residues and toxins.

Important cleansing notes:

  • Do one cleanse at a time. This process can be taxing to the system, so take a 1-2 week break in between the cleanses.
  • These cleanses can be done as often as once every three months.
  • It is NOT recommended to do a whole-system cleanse. If there are too many toxins trying to leave the body while elimination channels are bogged down, you can feel sick.
  • Old injuries may flare up during cleansing and this is called a “healing crisis”. This is temporary and should be resolved in a short time.
  • If you suffer from underlying medical conditions, herbs in cleanses may interfere with your prescription drug therapy. You may wish to seek the advice of a practicing natural healer experienced in toxin removal. Consulting a licensed medical physician before using any product or therapy is also recommended.

This cleansing order is important for the best cleansing success. There will be exceptions in some situations but for the most part, when you cleanse you want to work with your detoxification system. This reduces the likelihood of reabsorbing toxins and feeling sick.

MAKING OUR WORLD LESS TOXIC

Lives have significantly improved with cleansing herbs. Natural healing of the body is an ancient form of wellness passed down through generations worldwide.  People have the power to eliminate depression, anxiety, excess weight, and other problems with cleanses. Empower yourself with less harmful options and remember that you always do have options when it comes to your health and wellbeing. We can live a toxin-free lifestyle by educating ourselves and choosing a more holistic approach. Here are some of our go-to choices:

  • Whole food options in place of processed foods, or grow your own
  • Natural-derived cleaners or make your own with minimal ingredients that can be found in your pantry
  • Limiting plastic use
  • Switch to natural personal care products
  • Cook from scratch
  • Filter your water or switch to spring water
  • Consume high-quality, organic supplements and herbal products (for more information on how to find quality supplements, check out our blog post: https://www.thepowerherbs.com/blog/wellness-guide-how-to-fin...)

Our bodies are equipped to detoxify naturally, but in today's world of overwhelming toxin exposure, they can become overburdened, leading to a range of health issues. By incorporating natural alternatives into your daily life, and cleansing regularly, you can significantly reduce your exposure to toxins and create a healthier, safer environment for yourself and your family.
